This document explains terms and conditions for using the RecentMedicalFindings™ Service ("RMF™ Service"). Some of the conditions are required by National Library of Medicine (NLM®), from which the MEDLINE® database is leased.
By using the RMF™ Service, you agree to the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Use") as changed from time to time by updated postings at the RMF™ Service site. RMF™ may from time to time change the services provided by the RMF™ Service or the Terms of Use, without prior notice and without liability. Users should carefully review the Terms of Use before using the RMF™ Service, and thereafter from time to time in order to know about any changes. Do not use the RMF™ Service if you do not agree to the Terms of Use, or if you don't have status to legally be bound by this document..
1. Source of Information
The search results, links, and other information provided to you when you use the RMF™ Service are derived from databases of information provided by the US National Library of Medicine (NLM®) and MEDLINE® under license to the RMF™ and are produced by automatic equipment, computers, and software. Search results, links, and other information are neither viewed nor screened by human beings or otherwise before users see them and some users might consider information to be offensive, objectionable, or otherwise inappropriate. RMF™ is not responsible for the content of or the links at any site included in any search results. RMF™ will endeavor to address allegations of alleged infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

5. Force Majeure
RMF™ shall never be responsible nor liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from acts of nature, or forces or causes beyond the RMF™'s reasonable control, including Internet or World Wide Web failures, computer hardware or software failures, telecommunication equipment or other equipment failures, electrical power failures, strikes, labor disputes, riots, insurrections, terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, civil disturbances, shortages of labor or materials, fires, floods, storms, explosions, acts of God, war, governmental actions or inactions, orders of domestic or foreign courts or tribunals, non-performance of third parties, or loss of or fluctuations in heat, light, or air conditioning, or for any other causes, acts, or omissions beyond the reasonable control of the RMF™.
RMF™ shall never be responsible nor liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from acts of nature, or forces or causes beyond the RMF™'s reasonable control, including Internet or World Wide Web failures, computer hardware or software failures, telecommunication equipment or other equipment failures, electrical power failures, strikes, labor disputes, riots, insurrections, terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, civil disturbances, shortages of labor or materials, fires, floods, storms, explosions, acts of God, war, governmental actions or inactions, orders of domestic or foreign courts or tribunals, non-performance of third parties, or loss of or fluctuations in heat, light, or air conditioning, or for any other causes, acts, or omissions beyond the reasonable control of the RMF™.
6. Commonwealth of Virginia
The Terms of Use will be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without giving effect to conflict of laws provisions of any user's state or country or other jurisdiction of location or residence, as applied to transactions taking place wholly within the Commonwealth of Virginia between residents of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia shall be the sole and exclusive judicial forum and venue for and in connection with any litigation arising out of or relating to the RMF™ Service, RMF™, and the Terms of Use, and users relinquish any right or entitlement to invoke federal diversity jurisdiction in connection with any such litigation. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision or portion of the Terms of Use to be unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms of Use will continue in full force and effect.

Also, RMF™ complies with NLM requirement for the following five fields to be searchable.
Consistent with the provisions of the license agreement between RMF™ and the National Library of Medicine, the RMF™ Service is provided in accordance with the following quality assurance features:
- The RMF™ Service adds new records to the database at least as frequently as quarterly. However, usually the RMF™ database is updated on a daily basis.
- The RMF™ Service corrects records at the time new records are added at least as frequently as quarterly.
- The RMF™ Service has an "announcement page", for significant errata and/or retractions identified by NLM.
- The RMF™ Service performs annual class maintenance on the records.
- The RMF™ Service announces that source for all records is NLM's MEDLINE.
- MEDLINE® and NLM® are registered trademark of the U.S. National Library of Medicine.
- The RMF™ Service can be accessed by any web browser (including Internet Explorer, Netscape, FireFox, and Opera), on any computer connected to World-Wide-Web. Further explanation is in the RMF™ Service website.
- The content, capabilities, and purpose of the RMF™ Service is explained in its website.
